LADRAN SANCHO advances in developing union tools for journalists and communicators
Organization: Ladran Sancho
As part of an effort to strengthen the defense of labor rights for journalists and communicators working in the popular economy, the first phase of the project has focused on developing materials related to union tools and actions.
Biweekly in-person meetings were held with cooperative members, during which the methodology and timeline for the project’s implementation were defined. These meetings fostered internal exchange to determine the best strategies for achieving the project’s goals.
In September and October, an initial mapping of activities and contacts was conducted, including in-person meetings. The team also participated in four events alongside organizations, unions, independent journalists, and communicators.
All of these gatherings provided opportunities to present the project’s objectives and proposals. During this phase, the team took part in the national meeting of the Red de Medios Digitales (Digital Media Network), a key space for collaboration among similar media outlets and organizations. In October, the team actively participated in the 2024 national census of digital media and workers—an important data collection tool supported by the project. Details of the census are available at:

In November, a gathering was held with communication students from the Faculty of Communication Sciences (FACEPT) and the journalism program in the city of Luján, with the aim of learning about their interests and encouraging them to join the project. You can see more about the visit at:
These activities have contributed to defining the tools and materials that will be essential for the next phases of the project. The team is currently systematizing the collected information and, at the same time, consulting with expert professionals on improving labor conditions for journalists and communicators in the popular economy.
Ladran Sancho is a cooperative formed by young professionals and students from the city of Luján, committed to collective projects and the promotion of services focused on reflection, training, and action around the region’s journalistic, cultural, social, and political content.
